Real Madrid President Hints at Aurelien Tchouameni's Exit Amid Manchester City Interest

Aurelien Tchouameni’s season at Real Madrid has been a mixed bag. While the Frenchman initially struggled to make an impact in his preferred midfield role, he has shown improvement recently, impressing in an unfamiliar position as a center-back.

However, his early inconsistencies in midfield have raised questions about his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu. Adding to the uncertainty, Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly expressed interest in signing the 23-year-old midfielder.

Florentino Perez Open to Tchouameni’s Departure
According to a report from Defensa Central, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is open to considering Tchouameni’s departure if the player expresses a desire to leave.

“We don’t want to close the door to anyone. If he wants to leave, we’ll negotiate,” Perez is said to have remarked internally, signaling his willingness to engage in talks with Manchester City should the midfielder seek a move.

Despite his recent resurgence in form, speculation around Tchouameni’s future persists, with Liverpool also rumored to be monitoring the situation. Real Madrid invested €80 million to secure the Frenchman from AS Monaco, and the club is confident it can recoup or exceed that amount in a potential sale.

For now, Tchouameni remains a key figure for Real Madrid, as evidenced by his inclusion alongside Antonio Rudiger in central defense for the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona.

While his immediate focus may be on the pitch, the possibility of an exit looms large. Should Tchouameni decide to leave, it appears Real Madrid would not stand in his way, opening the door for a potential transfer to Manchester City or another interested club.
